Joseph Santoro is a principal at Bannon
Communications Research where he is the Project Director.
Joseph oversees the operation of the Washington DC office
and the projects conducted there-in while providing home
office support for those being conducted in other parts of
the country.
Before joining the team at Bannon
Communications Research in early 2006, Joseph served for the
Embassy of Croatia as a Congressional Liaison and Advisor on
economic issues. Previous to that, he worked for Senator
Jack Reed of Rhode Island on Health Policy, HELP Committee
issues, Press, and was a Regional Coordinator for the New
Hampshire Democratic Party during the 2004 election where he
was hired to direct communication in southern NH for the
Kerry/Edwards campaign in the final push.
During that time, Joseph interned for Dow Jones News
Service writing political briefs in Florida during the early
days of the 2004 election cycle. He also coordinated the
Fairfield Virginia Democrats in the 2006 election cycle,
aiding Gov. Warner and Sen. Webb to their wins in the
crucial and affluent Northern Virginia county. Beyond this,
he writes issue statements used to inform members of
Congress for the
Communications
Consortium
Media
Center.
While it's easy to see that Joseph loves Politics, he got
his start in strategy and marketing during the "Dot Com"
boom of the late 90's/early '00's. He was an integral part
of a series of start-ups such as CustomChip which offered
custom made and adaptive automotive performance computer
chips and Captain CD-ROM which introduced the first
commercial-grade recordable CD's at consumer prices.
Joseph holds a Certificate in International Affairs from
Johns Hopkins University, a
B.S. in Commercial Finance from Roger Williams University,
and a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Brown University with a
concentration on Neuropsychology and Economic Theory. He is
currently pursuing his Masters at Georgetown University.
